Shipping Information

Pouch is a proudly indie magazine that ships internationally!

But there are a few caveats to know about...


1) Your order will probably take a while to get to you

I pack and ship orders from my living room in Brooklyn, NY! I'm a team of just one person, so it usually takes me 3-5 days to pack and ship new orders. That means after you place your order, I'll drop off the package in the mail in 3-5 days, so you'll probably won't get a "Your item has shipped" email until 3-5 days after your purchase. From there, you'll then need to wait for USPS delivery. USPS can be very slow, and it's not unusual for USPS to take 1-2 weeks to deliver Pouch within the US, and 4-6 weeks outside the US.


If you don't get an email saying your item has shipped within 7 business days of your purchase, please reach out to me at victoriakirst@gmail.com! And in general if you have any concerns about your package, don't hesitate to send me an email 💌


2) Shipping is expensive, sadly

I wish I could offer cheaper shipping, but shipping is just really expensive 😭 I do not make any money off of shipping! I use Pirate Ship to get the best rates I can, but sadly it's still quite pricey and it has only gotten more expensive in recent years.


To try to mitigate shipping costs, I offer free shipping for orders over $25 in the US. (And to state what's probably obvious: It's not that the shipping costs magically go away at this price 😂 but on orders of $25 or more, I can make enough money from the total purchase to subsidize the shipping costs.)


I know that's not helpful for international shoppers, though! Because of this, I also sell digital copies of Pouch that have no shipping cost as they are digital. Find them in the Pouch section of the store!


3) Sometimes I make mistakes -- email me if so! 💓

Pouch is a very indie operation right now! I print labels on my home printer, pack your orders by hand, copy/paste your USPS tracking links manually from my shipping tool into my store backend, etc. I try my best to quality check each package and ensure that your order is accurate, BUT mistakes do happen!


If there's anything wrong with your order -- like your order was wrong, the copy of your magazine was damaged, USPS lost your order, etc -- send me an email at victoriakirst@gmail.com and we'll get it sorted out 💌
